Abstract

This work is the result of an exercise of expression after two temporally distinct encounters with a woman and a man socially taken as mad. The meetings had the anthropologist's body as contact material, a body not positioned for the research itself, but immersed in a life movement that already has research as part of its action in the world. Of these meetings, the researcher underlines a recurrence, the concern of this woman and this man with the production of their own documents. Documents that intend to prove the existence of other people, of relationships between people, of possible life circumstances, but not happened. The production of the document by the “crazy”, it is concluded, is a fact that places the unreal of thought side by side with its materialization through a supposedly legitimate bureaucratic support and demonstrates the power of suggestion, subjectivation and mobilization of this object made familiar in literate societies.
