Abstract

On behalf of the Psychology Service, it is a great joy to welcome you on this very special journey. The theme that unites us over these two days is "The Meaning of Listening: Re-significations in the Hospital Environment." Throughout this period, we will explore fundamental questions such as decisional autonomy, family conferences, communication challenges, as well as delicate topics like losses, mourning, and memories.

This journey has been carefully planned for several years, and its realization was delayed due to challenges such as the pandemic and the climate catastrophe that affected our state last year. These situations challenged us in hospital practice and brought important reflections that will surely enrich our discussions over these two days.

We are very happy to be together on this path of learning, reflection, and strengthening our commitment to humanized care. May these days be a time of enriching exchange and an increase in our professional and personal bonds.
