FRAGMENTS IN BLOOD AND PAPER

Abstract

The work analyzes the elements of location and significance of violence and crime in a local community in the interior of Paraná in the first decades of the twentieth century. The issue is approached from the perspective of the analysis of sources, regional historiography and the theoretical framework and its contributions, especially Michel Foucault's notion of governmentality. The results point to the conformation of a sense of justice that mediates emerging sociability in the context of fragility and absence of police forces and the judicial apparatus.
