This article analyzes the impact of the far right on global human rights governance, with emphasis on the business and human rights agenda. The objective is to understand how the convergence of authoritarianism, neoliberalism, and sovereignist rhetoric has delegitimized international norms and hindered the accountability of transnational corporations. The methodology is qualitative, theoretical-analytical in nature, based on bibliographic and documentary review, including case studies of Brazil, Hungary, and Poland. The conclusion is that the current voluntarist model is inadequate in the face of authoritarian resurgence, and that a new binding legal paradigm is necessary, centered on substantive democracy and the participation of affected communities.
