Covid-19 Pandemic: the remote teaching and the work of the dance teacher

Abstract

This article searchs to present the dance teacher’s vision of public schools of basic education from João Pessoa-PB, about the aspects that debilitate their work’s conditions, specially during the Covid-19 pandemic. This work was realized as from a qualitative research, founded on Dialetic-Historic Materialism and on dialetic method for data analysis. It was interviewed 11 teachers of dance area that teaching to Childhood Education, Elementary School I and II and in the Young and Adults’ Education, that entered in the public schools teaching system’s in 2015 through the exam realized by the municipal government of João Pessoa-PB (Rescript nº 01/2013). The founded results shows the way that those teachers understand each other as workers and how they perceive precarious aspects in their works during the pandemic. Thus, if on the one hand the teachers were responsible for the errors and failures of the remote classes, on the other hand they take responsibility for to make that the teaching and learning process during the pandemic could work, searching to welcome the students during a situation of social restrictions and human losses.
