Abstract

This article presents an analysis of the novel El tren del olvido (2019), by Moira Millán, a writer and Indigenous rights activist from the Mapuche nation of Argentina. The analysis aims to reflect on how the natural world and the relationship between the human and the non-human are represented in the narrative. This is a bibliographic, interpretative and qualitative study, based on the assumptions of ecocriticism, as well the thoughts by Ailton Krenak and Linda Hogan. It was found that the representations of the natural world and the relationship between human and non-human in the narrative break with the anthropocentric view of the world by placing humankind in a relationship of equality with the other beings that inhabit the Earth.
