What were the motivations, repercussions, and consequences of the Presidents' use of selective assassination as a foreign policy strategy in the War on Terror? The main objective of this research is to assess the similarities and differences in the decision-making process of Presidents Obama and Trump in the selective assassinations of Osama bin Laden and Qassem Soleimani. The descriptive research design proposes a comparative analysis of official documents, speeches, and literature. The findings point out different decision-making styles of both presidents and expose how this tool enhances political and electoral gains in the short and medium terms.
