Abstract

As global governance transitions from U.S.-led unipolarity to multipolarity, the BRICS nations—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—play a significant role. This study examines "multiploidization," highlighting the decentralization of institutional control, standard diversification, and economic empowerment beyond traditional centers. This analysis employs geopolitical-economic frameworks to examine BRICS' influence in institutional-cultural, military, and economic domains, highlighting strategies to contest existing hegemonies and fill vacuums created by Western withdrawal. Through de-dollarization and institutional innovation (e.g., New Development Bank), BRICS promotes a pluralistic, inclusive, post-hegemonic order, indicating a significant historical transition towards equitable global power distribution notwithstanding internal disparities.
