The Russo-Ukrainian War has triggered an avalanche of academic publications, journalistic reports, and, above all, fake news and highly ideological and prescriptive analyses, replete with victimisation and demonisation. It has been difficult to find objective works written by qualified experts, rather than by “self-declared realists,” often writing on commission or to capitalise on the media moment. In this context, three exceptions are presented, with the understanding that realism does not represent a theory but rather a philosophical concept.
