This article analyzes the coverage of the Rio de Janeiro press on the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris, focusing on the Brazilian participation in the event. The analysis includes the choice of Paris as the host city for the 1924 Games, the preparation of the delegations for the event, and the challenges faced by Brazil, such as the lack of funding and the disorganization of the Brazilian Olympic Committee. The article also highlights the importance of the press in consolidating Brazilian Olympic sports, as well as promoting sports as a symbol of modernity and civilization.
