After the celebration of the Dante Alighieri’s centenary it’s importantto take into consideration
the most famous heretic in the Divine Comedy, Dolcino from Novara, to follow the relationship between history and literature, mostly ignored. The image of Dolcino transmitted by Dante it’s the main reference of an “heretical adventure”.The fortune of Dolcino due to the poetical verses of Dante, is compared with the documents survived and with the comments on the Divine Comedy in order to understand the reason why the Poet doesn’t comdamn the heretic Dolcino.
