History and narrative in German historiography of the 19th century

This paper analyzes the problem of narrative to history as it appears in the historiography of the 19th century Prussian, taking as a discussion of some propositions Humboldt Gervinus, Ranke and Droysen it. These authors have given a decisive role in the formulation of narratives with the results of the work of historical research, highlighting this aspect often neglected by many historians of his time. After Chladenius, but long before Hayden White, Paul Ricoeur or Lawrence Stone put the issue of textual composition, the reference to the real and the possibility of tropology representation of the past as outlines for the writing of History.
