The excellence of the 120 years of the Faculty of Dentistry at UFRGS is achieved in the 144 spaces of quality dental care that make up our Dental Teaching Hospital, an outstanding center delivered to the city of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, in 2016. The idealization of the Hospital arose in the period between the years 2002 and 2005, during the curricular reform. A new way of thinking and doing Dentistry was promoted. No longer based on dental specialties but focused on clinics of increasing complexity according to the health needs of the patient and the student's development. Idealizing a new workspace has become necessary, consistent with this stage of change and development. The occupation of the new space began effectively in the first half of 2017. In working with the Coordination of Clinics and now, with the Hospital Management Committee, I have been watching a qualified integration of our entire community. This work was led by the Direction of the Faculty, first by the management of Profs. Pantelis Varvaki Rados and Régis Burmeister Santos and until today by the management of Profs. Susana Samuel and Deise Ponzoni. As I walk through the HEO space, I notice that the most complex stage has already been won. We have breathed the air of change with tranquility and certainty that we are on the right path. Let us continue our hard work towards excellence and qualification! We are all to be congratulated!Downloads
