Considering tissue ongm, there is a close relation between pulpal ãnd periodontal tissue. Also, since these two tissues are in the same area, we may expect a transport of bacteria and its toxins from one injured site to the other. The extent of pulpal or periodontal reaction is related to the degree of infection, as well as to the involved site. lt is not an easy task to establish the diferential diagnosis among pulpal lesions, perio lesions and true pulpal-perio lesions, due to their similar sings and simptoms. It is important to review the origin of these two tissues, its pathways and the diferential diagnosis among them to establish adequate treatment and prognosis.Downloads
