Aim: This article aims to present the contribution of the monitoring and feedback actions of the extension project Primary Health Care Group of the Faculty of Dentistry of Pelotas on seven health indicators of the Previne Brasil program and the Final Synthetic Indicator (FSI) in the city of Piratini - RS. Materials and Methods: The project works in the city since January 2021 preparing monthly production reports and in feedback and alignment meetings with city management and teams. To measure the intervention results, it was used difference in differences analysis. Results: Piratini had the worst FSI in the region in 2020 and moved to 5th place at the end of 2022, with an increase of 870% in the FSI. The analysis showed a difference in the increase of the FSI of 4,166 (p<0,001) of Piratini in relation to the region. Discussion: The municipalities in the region have made advances, measured by established indicators, in the care of pregnant women, children and chronic patients. Experts advise changes in work process, access increase and better infrastructure to reach those improvements. Conclusion: This article’s findings suggest that the extension project’s actions related to the teams' work process may have enhanced the effects of payment for performance in Piratini.
