Abstract

The importance of planning in an incremental care program is discussed. Data of a caries survey is used
to determinate the amount of treatment needed in a group of school children in Pôrto Alegre City. Information on resources are compared with treatment needs. Some hipotheses to solve the problem of dental care are Proposed. A specifie program plan is selected having in mind the objectives and policy of the department.
