Desenvolvimento e aplicação de uma ferramenta informatizada para medição de desempenho e melhoria contínua

Abstract

If properly used, performance management can become a differential factor for companies, which may lead them to similar or even better results than their competitors and facilitate their survival in a more and more competitive market. Based on this idea, this work is an attempt to bring tehory and practice closer in the regard of performance management. This article puts forward either a performance management software and a method for building a performance measurement system. Both were developed aiming the companies from Sertãozinho/SP, which is an important industrial city related to the sugar and ethanol industry. The method and the software were applied to companies from this city so they could be verified in practice. Based in these applications, it was possible to conclude that the method was efficient for the selection of performance measures. The software, in turn, can be seen as a good manner for communicating performance results and it benefits continuous improvement.
