Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • A contribuição é original e inédita, e não está sendo avaliada para publicação por outra revista.
  • Os arquivos para submissão estão em formato Microsoft Word , OpenOffice, ou RTF (desde que não ultrapasse os 2MB).
  • Todos os endereços de páginas na Internet (URLs), incluídas no texto (Ex.: http://www.ibict.br) estão ativos e prontos para clicar.
  • O texto está em espaço simples; usa uma fonte de 11 pontos; emprega itálico ao invés de sublinhar (exceto em endereços URL); com figuras e tabelas inseridas no texto, e não em seu final.
  • O texto segue os padrões de estilo e requisitos bibliográficos descritos em Diretrizes para Autores, na seção Sobre a Revista.
  • A identificação de autoria deste trabalho foi removida do arquivo e da opção Propriedades no Word, garantindo desta forma o critério de sigilo da revista, caso submetido para avaliação por pares (ex.: artigos), conforme instruções disponíveis em Asegurando a Avaliação por Pares Cega.

Author Guidelines

Submission Preparation Checklist

  • The contribution is original and unpublished, and it is not being considered for publication by another journal.
  • Submission files are in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice, or RTF format (as long as they do not exceed 2MB).
  • All web page addresses (URLs) included in the text (e.g., http://www.ibict.br) are active and ready to click.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses an 11-point font; employs italics instead of underlining (except for URLs); with figures and tables inserted in the text, not at the end.
  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in the Author Guidelines section of About the Journal.
  • The authorship identification of this work has been removed from the file and the Word Properties option, thus ensuring the journal's confidentiality criterion, if submitted for peer review (e.g., articles), as per instructions available in Ensuring a Blind Peer Review.

Focus and Scope:

Articles of interest to Production Engineering are accepted in the areas of Production Management; Quality; Economic Management; Ergonomics and Occupational Safety; Product Engineering; Operations Research; Strategy and Organizations; Technology Management; Information and Knowledge Systems; Environmental Management and EP Teaching. The papers must be original, containing contributions to scientific, technological, institutional, and educational advancement, both at a theoretical level (literature review, "state of the art," etc.) and practical level (research results, reports on practical application work, etc.).

Language:

The article can be in Portuguese, Spanish, or English.

Articles in Portuguese and Spanish must contain an abstract in English, in addition to the summary. Articles in English must contain a title and summary in Portuguese, in addition to the abstract.

Formatting:

Margins:

2.5 cm, font: Times New Roman size 11; line spacing: single.

Length:

The article must be no longer than 30 pages.

The file must include on the 1st page: a summary of no more than 150 words and 3 to 5 keywords, an abstract in English of no more than 150 words, and 3 to 5 keywords. Foreign words must appear in italics in the text. For decimal numbers, use a comma (2.5) instead of a point (2.5).

Figures and Tables:

Figures must be of good quality and inserted into the text. Figures will be printed in black and white and shades of gray. Captions, below the figures, should start with the word Figure, the respective number in Arabic numerals (figures are numbered consecutively), and a dash (e.g., Figure 1 - Diagram of...). Tables must be of good quality and inserted into the text. They should have a caption at the top, starting with the word Table, the respective number in Arabic numerals (tables are numbered consecutively), and a dash (e.g., Table 1 - Distribution of...). Graphs should be made in black and white and shades of gray.

Footnotes:

Footnotes should only be used for the placement of apud references.

Author Identification:

Along with the article, a file (supplementary document) must be sent with the name of each author, the institution to which they belong, the position they hold, and their contact address (regular mail + email + phone) and ID ORCID. 

It is mandatory to provide the ORCID identification number for each of the authors. If you do not have one, please register at https://orcid.org/.

Originality

The main author must complete and submit, along with the article file, the originality letter available HERE.
