This study aims to analyze the environmental fragility of the Queima-Pé river basin, located in Tangará da Serra municipality in the Mato Grosso State (Midwestern, Brazil), to subsidize environmental planning actions. The study area was characterized using the following thematic maps: geomorphology, pedology, land use and vegetation cover, and rainfall. The methodology used was operationalized using ArcGis software of Esri. The Queima-Pé river basin present 11% of the area has high environmental fragility, mainly due to land use that provides little protection to the soil. We conclude that the land use with pasture and sugarcane in the argisoil soils deserve special attention because of the high sand content, which favors erosion.Downloads
