O TERMO DE COMPROMISSO (TC) ENTRE TI KUARAY HAXA E ICMBIO

Abstract

The present work aims to present some results of the ongoing research about the commitment agreement (TC) of overlapping between indigenous territory (TI) Kuaray Haxa and Chico Mendes institute for conservation of biodiversity (ICMBio). The Guarani-Mbyá people have undertaken a lot of territorial reoccupation, (re) producing places previously occupied in past mobilities. However, in this extensive territory, were instituted many strictly protected areas (UCPI), that restrict not only the presence and access of these localities, but make these communities vulnerable for the constant threat of the removal by State forces. Although, in the last years, the ICMBio seems to follow in a new direction, privileging mutual agreements of aimed at harmonizing of the ways of life of different people in the interior of these units. The case of Kuaray Haxa is situated in this context, being a singular example of a structuring of TC crossed, essentially, by the Nhanderekó, the way of being and be Guarani, aiming to promote a common space for the conservation and the ways of life Mbyá in the coast of Paraná.
