RESSONÂNCIAS ANCESTRAIS PARA UMA APRENDIZAGEM SIMBÓLICA-SENSÍVEL
Abstract
The presence of indigenous academics in universities has prompted action and reflection. We emphasize the importance of positive encounters – indigenous and non-indigenous –, aiming for an academy that embraces diversity. Drawing from the Kaingang people’s origin narrative, we developed the Vãfy methodology, inspired by their artistic and cultural weaving, which contemplates opposition and complementarity. Through co-authorship and co-action, we build reflections and learning experiences that flourish in educational settings, especially through extension activities. Nonetheless, we realize that there is still a long way to go to achieve harmonious coexistence, such an urgent issue in the times we live in.
