      Abstract

      This article has two goals. First, it analyses the main macroeconomic results, specifically GDP and inflation rate, for some selected emerging countries that adopt (or not) the inflation targeting regime. Secondly, it aims at examining the relationship between the inflation targeting regime and the macroeconomic performance of emerging countries.
