    Abstract

    This article aims to analyze, using the concepts of uncertainty and bounded rationality, the F. A. Hayek's proposal for the monetary policy: the adoption usage of private and competitor currencies. For that, a classification of different kinds of uncertainty will be made, so that the reader can be come familiar with the one and the one adopted by Hayek Hayek will be known. Then the Hayekian proposal will be exposed, and we will see that the concept of uncertainty may be a powerful argument against the state-owned monopoly in monetary market.
