    Abstract

    In this work a survey is presented on the main aspects pointed by the Economic Commission for Latin America and Caribbean (ECLAC) to promote the Latin-American integration. For such, it was made an analysis of the historical evolution of these ideas in the period that is going from the creation of the institution in 1948 to the end of the decade of 1990.
