RISCOS NA ATIVIDADE BANCÁRIA EM CONTEXTO DE ESTABILIDADE DE PREÇOS E DE ALTA INFLAÇÃO

Abstract

This article analyses the classical risks related to the banking activity, such as credit risk, interest-rate risk and liquidity risk. It also shows that, despite the fact that risks can not be eliminated, banks follow conventional rules to avoid these risks when they are making use of some techniques of asset and liability management. Particularly, in a context of high inflation, when the raise of uncertainty increases the banking risks, banking activity develops new strategies to manage their risks.
