About the Journal
Focus and Scope
To serve as a forum for debates on topics related to state of the art and tendencies in the area of Informatics and its applications, offering an interdisciplinary environment for the dissemination of the research carried out in the area.
Contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of Theoretical and Applied Informatics through the publication of works that show state of the art and trends of the area of Informatics and its applications. Projects under development in universities and research centers can be presented, as well as their results and application perspectives. They can be submitted: Scientific articles with unpublished contents and reviews.
Frequency and Scope
RITA has a regular semiannual periodicity. Numbers and Special Sections are also published seeking to contribute to the dissemination of selected works in scientific events. Its scope is the Ibero-Latin American community, with subjects accepted in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

Peer Review Process
Manuscripts submitted to RITA are pre-reviewed by members of the journal’s editorial board, and according to the overall quality of the work it might be rejected, returned to the authors for the adequacy or submitted to ad-hoc review. Reviewers send their conclusions to the editor who emits the editorial assessment qualifying the manuscript. At this point, the document might be rejected, accepted or returned to authors for corrections. Authors must submit a new version of the article conforming to the solicited revisions in 20 days, along with a letter addressing all of the reviewer’s comments. Finally, the editor decides to approve or reject the publication at the end of the process.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a more significant global exchange of knowledge. The Journal does not charge processing or publication fees.
