Abstract

The study of bibliometric data is essential for any institution—whether it be a journal, a university, or even an individual author and libraries are no exception. In the case of the latter, a Study of Bibliometric Services at Stockholm University must consider the services provided to users, the quality of these services, the staff, among other factors. In this text, student Elizabeth Arejano de Fraga presents a Study of Bibliometric Services at Stockholm University. The study was developed as the final project for the elective course in Bibliometrics (BIB03351), taught by Professor Dr. Samile Andrea de Souza Vanz, for the first semester of 2024 (2024/1) in the Bachelor's degree program in Library Science at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). The choice of the library was based on a reading of the text “Bibliometrics and the New Professional Roles in Libraries” by Samile Andrea de Souza Vanz, Dirce Maria Santin, and Caterina Marta Groposo Pavão, in which the quality of bibliometric services in Swedish university libraries is mentioned.
