The Revista de Informática Teórica e Aplicada - RITA is edited under the responsibility of the Institute of Informatics at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS, Brazil. The Journal publishes works that show state of the art and trends in the area of computer science and its applications.

We are pleased to announce the special issue, to be published in 2021, on
Business Process Management (BPM) in the Revista de Informática Teórica e
Aplicada (RITA). BPM is a discipline that covers the phases of process
identification, process discovery, process analysis, process redesign,
process implementation and process monitoring and control. Related to these
phases many approaches and technologies have been proposed aiming advances
in process documentation, automation and improvement. Therefore, we propose
a special issue of RITA, focusing on trends and research related to these

Papers must be written in English, according to the RITA formatting
guidelines. Only full papers will be accepted for submission. Papers will be
refereed through a *double blind* process for technical merit and content.

** Research on BPM-related standards and technologies, e.g. BPMN, DMN, CMMN
** Blockchain in Business Process Management
** Process Mining approaches, tools and techniques

Papers will be submitted to the journal in the normal way but authors should
select the Special Issue - ”Business Process Management”.
