PSYCHOSOCIAL ATTENTION FROM THE EXPERIENCE OF THE INDIVIDUAL SUFFERING OF MENTAL DISORDER

Abstract

The study realized in one Center of Psychosocial Attention in the southern region of Brazil is qualitative and descriptive, and the aim is to know the experience of the user of the service, and the importance that he attributed to psychosocial attention. The data are collected by five semi-structured interviews, recorded and, then analyzed, based on the experience and trajectory of the person, and in spaces of psychosocial care in the service. The persons highlighted the differences between the care in hospital way and in the psychosocial way, and related activities such as assemblies, workshops, as spaces that provide insertion and transformation of their realities. Shown up the groups, the participation in the association of the users and family, the communication with the trainees as contributors to the (re)conquest of the citizenship. However we concluded pointing to the necessity that the users say about more investment in the expansion of the collective support of the services in mental health that will be answer to the necessities of the community.
