Quality of life among nursing professionals working in surgical wards

Abstract

This transverse, descriptive study aimed at evaluating the quality of life of nursing professionals working in the surgical ward, by using the Flanagan Quality of Life Adapted Scale. 103 workers participated in the study, mainly women (82.5%), with an average age of 38. Among them, 70.8% were nursing assistants while 11.6% were nurses. Regarding the quality of life evaluation, it has been found out a mean of 77.18 ±10.51, a possible range from 16 to 112. The item with the highest rate of satisfaction was Relationship with Friends while Participation in Sports and Leisure Activities received the lowest satisfaction rate.
