Assessment and intervention in families attended by the family health team

This study aims at demonstrating the importance of using the Calgary Family Assessment and Intervention Model in the care practice of Family Health teams. It was carried out in a Family Health team, involving one family with a serious psychiatric disorder patient. The construction and application of instruments allowed establishing an intervention plan that led to behavioral changes. The conclusion is that this model can be used in family care. By using this model, families come closer to the health service and it becomes possible to plan the rendered care better.Downloads
