Teenager pregnancy: who should prevent it?

Abstract

The great number of pregnant teenagers in schools and the deriving distress from that situation for themselves, for the family, and for the teachers whose professional education seems inadequate to deal with this social problem have been investigated. The objective of this study was understanding how actions of professionals facing the issue can develop an education process whereby the agents (teachers, administrative staff, health officers...) can contribute to support pregnant teenagers as well as to prevent early pregnancy.
