Student´s perception concerning health education in the hospital practice

Abstract

In the present study, we identified, through students’ view, methodological ways of working with health education in hospital curricular practice and the importance of trying to change the future of health in the country. This descriptive and qualitative research involved 66 undergraduate students of a nursing school of a private university located on the metropolitan aerea of Porto Alegre. The results showed that the students realize the importance of education for health and that this education should be carried out through orientation on the bedside and/or in groups taking into consideration each patient’s individuality.
