Studying pesticide’s poisoning during Nursing Course: experience account

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to describe the experience of nursing students experience in the development of a research project. It began through the identification of a public health problem in a farm, when 1,200 people camped near a storehouse containing organocloride pesticides. The group decided for a descriptive study. The students describe their participation in the project, with specialists consultation, bibliographic review, development of a research tool, capacitate people to collect data and analysis with statistical help. As a conclusion, they point out the limitations encountered, as well as the benefits obtained in this experience during undergraduate course.
