Abstract

The present study has the objective to rethink and to build a nursing assistance to a hospitalized abused child by his/her family, based on living experiences, feelings and expectations of nurses and auxiliary personnel. The methodological concept used was the “living learning experience into the group”, defined as “living workshop”. The thoughts brought and shared by the nursing caregivers, gave opportunity to the group to perceive and to feel themselves as people who face in their life routine the phenomenon called “abused child” and “family member-aggressor”. The meaning aroused from the nursing care legitimated the fact that the nursing caregiver is the one who needs to be cared.
