What is the profile of the nursing student of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul?

Abstract

This work is na attempt to define the profile of the undergraduate student in the Nursing School of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. Students taking from the first to the eight semester of the course, registered for the first term of 1988, composed the population, summing up a total of 172 people interviewed. The instrument used in the survey was made up of questions which covered the following aspects: personal identificarion, socio-economic situation and housing conditions of the student and his/her family, activities related to the academic and professional environment of the student.
