Perception of users about a service in the outpatient department of mental health

Abstract

Through the phenomenologic method, we carried out a direct investigation to people - users of the Regional Center of Specialties - department service of mental health in Cascavel City, Paraná State, and te following question was asked them: “What’s your opinion about our service?”, with the purpose of knowing their opinion about this sort of service. The study points out that the service centralizes the treatment in medical specifity, operating by the adjustment of medication to the expressiviness of the symptom presented by the user, without using a model of psychotherapy, with an interdisciplinary team.
