The genus Rhynchosia Lour. (Leguminosae - Papilionoideae) in Roraima state, Brazil

Abstract

This paper presents the taxonomic study of the genus Rhynchosia for the State of Roraima. Four species were recorded: R. melanocarpa Grear, R. minima (L.) DC., R. phaseoloides (Sw.) DC. and R. schomburgkii Benth. The species Rhynchosia phaseoloides and R. minima were recorded for the first time to Roraima State. An identification key, descriptions and illustrations of the species are presented. Additional information concerning geographic distribution and habitat are provided.
