Abstract

Zygostates dasyrhiza (Kraenzl.) Schltr. is here documented for the first time for the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. A morphological description, data about geographic distribution and habitat, an artificial key to the three Zygostates species native to Rio Grande do Sul, and additional comments about this species are provided.
