Knowledge of micodiversity in the State of Mato Grosso do Sul is precarious and fragmented, and despite the abundance and the vital role of fungi in nature, little information about the diversity of fungi in their different biomes are available. The aim of this study was to contribute to the knowledge of macrofungi of the state, from a survey in the vicinity of the Prosa State Park, a semideciduous forest fragment in Campo Grande, MS. Monthly collections of macrofungi were made in 2007, comprising 20 species; they were photographed, analyzed and identified morphologically, then preserved in the herbarium SP. The species belong to four orders and nine families Agaricomycetes, of which 11 species are cited for the first time for the State: Daedalea aethalodes, Fomitopsis cupreorosea, F. feei, Amauroderma camerarium, Ganoderma australe, G. multiplicatum, G. orbiforme, Gloeoporus dichrous, Lopharia papyrina, Datronia caperata and Perenniporiella neofulva. The most represented families were Polyporaceae (eight species) and Ganodermataceae (four species), both with wood-degrading members. An identification key and illustrations of the newly recorded species for the State are presented.Downloads
