Abstract

During the taxonomic study for the genus Baccharis L. section Caulopterae DC. for Southern Region of Brazil, Baccharis opuntioides Mart ex Baker had occurence was confirmed for Santa Catarina state, Brazil. Botanical descriptions, comments and first illustration for this species are presented here.
