Sistemas municipais de ensino no Rio Grande do Sul: uma contribuição para as políticas educacionais

O artigo focaliza os sistemas municipais de ensino, uma iniciativa de organização local da educação brasileira. Apresenta a distribuição dos sistemas municipais no tempo e no espaço do estado do Rio Grande do Sul e examina questões acerca de sua criação frente ao número de alunos matriculados e à alternância do poder político local. O artigo está vinculado aos projetos de pesquisa Mapa dos Sistemas Municipais de Ensino do Rio Grande do Sul e Observatório de Educação – INEP/CAPES.
