The present study deals with the issue of the indigent children of the "lepers" who were compulsorily hospitalized at the Alzira Bley School in Cariacica-ES, in the period between 1937-1979, due to the legislation in force for the period. The method used to explain the conditions of life within the institution and the marks left in the memory of the graduates was the life story.Downloads
