Particularities of the production of urban space in the south part of the Grande Vitória - ES

Abstract

: The discussion presented is part of the studies that compose the doctoral research of the author. It tries to understand the processes that permeate the production of space and the advancement of the urban fringe of the southern portion of Grande Vitória - ES. In order to problematize factors interact in the production and reproduction of the space in the aforementioned clipping attentive to the implications - geoeconomic and environmental - that this process carries with it. It presents, in a preliminary way, discussions that demonstrate how the conformation of the urban expansion that covers the area under study is in conformity with the creation of a local territorial infrastructure that articulates to the demands of the global capitalist logic of power (HARVEY, 2010). In a perspective of "spatial adjustment" (HARVEY, 2006), manifested and materialized in the activities and port needs of Grande Vitória, "territorial logic of power" (HARVEY, 2010), relegating the social appropriation of space.
