Christmas in the Colombian Pacific is a ritual that has not been studied enough and that deserves more attention. Through the nine nights of “arrullos (lullabies) to the child God” the Afro-descendants of the Pacific coast reinterpret and Africanize the myth of Christmas. The lullabies to the child God are the celebration of life on the Pacific coast, in them the appropriation of the Catholic religion is consummated and a spiritual ecology is configured. Children play a leading role in this celebration.
