BERLIM: A apatia da modernidade

Abstract

The article intends to analyze and discuss some aspects of modernity in pre-Nazi Germany as cinema is concerned, especially the representations proposed in the film Berlin, symphony of a great city. It also intends to shed light on the critical reception of the film and how it is linked to works realted to historical European avant-garde movements.
