Abstract

This paper discusses the proposal from the theoretical biologist, Stuart Kauffman, on the theory of evolution. We try to clarify Kauffman’s position regarding the neo-Darwinism movement showing his position in relation to the importance of natural selection in evolution. We also situate historically the debate evolutionism vs. creationism and include process structuralism in the debate.
