This article aims to think about the production of writers born in Angola within the scope of contemporary Portuguese literature, understanding the need to treat such writers and their literature without the mark of “otherness”, arising not only from the migrant condition, but also from the issue ethnic-racial and a colonial imaginary that still persists in Portugal. Identifying diversity in the approach to the topic of migration between Angola and Portugal, based on the works of Tvon, Yara Monteiro, Kalaf Epalanga and Djaimilia Pereira de Almeida, is significant to avoid exclusionary categorizations, as if these bodies represented a foreign homogeneity on Portuguese. Starting from the context experienced in Portugal after the Revolução dos Cravos and the decolonization of African territories, the postmigration concept is used to highlight the need to think of Portuguese society as a society crossed by migratory processes and that needs to face its colonial dynamics in order to review the way he thinks about the image of the Portuguese people, excluding other experiences.
