ABSTRACT: In this article, we try to make a double movement: to present the current interrogations that originates within the research group PsiPoliS (Psychoanalysis, Politics, Signifier) and to indicate how these interrogations are linked to points of contact, deviation, approximation and distance between the fields of Materialist Discourse Analysis, represented mainly by the works of Michel Pêcheux, in France, and Eni Puccinelli Orlandi, in Brazil. With this operation, we intend to emphasize the radical contemporaneity of Pêcheux's question: what is a discursive materiality? It seems to us that it is in relation to this somewhat cursed concept that an encounter between Discourse Analysis and Psychoanalysis can have some analytical productivity, although there is an irreducibility between the fields that cannot be neglected.
