Eluza, a renowned Brazilian artist, professor, and researcher in the field of dance, began her journey in this captivating domain at the age of four. Her dedication to school-related dance activities led her to significant accomplishments. Holding a master’s and a doctorate from the United States, Eluza established a strong presence as a researcher and artist in the country. At 65, she is the founder and co-director of the EluzArtes Project in Vitória, where she continues to inspire and share her passion for dance through workshops, performances, and training courses. Eluza stands out as a remarkable example of vitality and enduring commitment to the art of dance in the state of Espírito Santo and Brazil. This interview was conducted in Vila Velha, Espírito Santo, on November 23, 2022.
